Life is good. Just a year and 4 months ago, Gene and I were married . We are both blessed to be together in harmony and in love. We were married in a magnificent ceremony and celebration in Scottsdsale. Our 6 youngest grandchildren ( between us we have 10) were our special flower children and then they sat on the steps of this outdoor scene of lights, candles, flowers and above us a hand crocheted spread made by my maternal Grandmother in 1930. It was breathtaking!
My 3 children are such special human beings. They are accomplished, intelligent, compassionate, community minded, and the best parents, partners and yes, children to me. It is always a love fest when we see each other. No one lives in AZ. So I travel to see them. What mother wouldn't? First 20 years of my marriage I mothered my children, substitute taught, did some photographic modeling. Then I went back to school and received my masters and for the next 35 years I was a professional therapist. As I said, life is good.

Some of my favorite times were in Mr. Strepeks chemistry class. Never had to attend his breakfast club. I was lucky....

Brady Elementary, Durfee junior high, then Post before going to Mumford. I loved my pink and blue school.

I went through 4 years at the University of Michigan and graduated with a degree in teaching. I taught in Ann Arbor until my husband became a dentist in the Army. We had 3 children in 3 years. Needless to say I was a very busy woman, wife and mother.

At the age of 41 I went back to school for my masters degree at Wayne State University. I was in the school of guidance and counseling through the school of education. They offered a Masters Degree in Human Sexuality. When I completed my masters 2 years later with a 4 point I was admittedly very proud of myself.

Living in AZ . Is conducive to being in the pool. I love to swim as often as possible. Walking in the water not on water, Lol, is a joy for me. Swimming while it is so warm outside, makes it all so bearable.

I do Yoga, also and find that it is helpful for balance , peace of mind, and well being. Singing is another pleasure I enjoy. I have fun on my karaoke machine at home. Spent many years singing with a group of breast cancer survivors. Like to cook, be with friends, theatre, movies and travel. Crossword puzzles in ink especially the New York Times Sunday edition. Oh, let's not forget shopping.

I am a breast cancer survivor of 21 years and an open heart by pass survivor of 11 years. I know what gratitude feels like after having these two monumental health threats. Fear, panic, and threats to my well being took over for a short period of time . I continued to see clients , do my counseling groups, write speeches and present them. My concern for family, wanting to live, and live well , bravely and wisely took over and I prevailed. To survive is minimal, but to prevail was my goal. I set examples for my children and grandchildren and clients. So many people to thank and so many to whom I am greatful. I am truly thankful and a woman of gratitude.

I went to The University of Michigan and studied a lot in between dating. Lol

Really liked the school dances and study hall times. Earl Matthews speech class was wonderful. He made it enjoyable for me.

I do not drink coffee, booze, caffeine products, gamble, so what else is there ? Imagine...........

I have indeed. But I did not like how it felt .

Yes, I have. Several times.

With my husband in AZ. Still visiting my kids in Seattle, Portland and Maryland. We will still travel to many interesting places. Hopefully, we will be healthy enough to do that which we still love to do.
